How to play Tentrix

Place blocks and clear lines

Drag a piece from the selection below the board onto empty squares of the 10 by 10 grid. A full row or column clears. Place all three offered pieces to receive the next set. Pieces keep their supplied orientation; they cannot be rotated.

Plan the whole set

Check where the largest piece could fit before placing a smaller one.
Compare the available placements for all three pieces. One convenient move can leave no room for the rest.
Use line clears to reopen space, rather than filling disconnected areas of the board.

Avoid isolated gaps

A single empty square surrounded by blocks is harder to use than a connected space. Before releasing a piece, check the spaces it leaves behind. The round ends when no remaining piece can fit, so keeping room for different shapes matters as much as the next clear.
